Nova is a family business from Poznań founded in 1996, which specialises in comprehensive anti-theft security solutions for retail. For nearly three decades, we have completed over 8,000 projects – from small specialist shops to international retail chains with thousands of branches across Europe. What anti-theft systems do we offer?
Effective shop theft protection requires a cohesive, well-chosen EAS system consisting of many mutually complementary elements. At Nova, we approach each project individually: we analyse the specifics of the store, the type of assortment, the layout of entrances and the scale of potential losses, and then we propose a solution. Nova systems work well in clothing, footwear, grocery and sports stores, as well as in drugstores, libraries and multi-branch retail chains.
Anti-theft gates – AM, EM and RF technologies
Shop security gates are the cornerstone of the EAS system and the first line of defence against unauthorized removal of goods. Nova offers three technologies of electronic article surveillance systems, as well as hybrids combining their advantages.
AM (acousto-magnetic) gates
They operate at a frequency of 58 kHz. They are characterised by high detection efficiency and exceptionally low susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, which minimises the number of false alarms.
EM (electromagnetic) gates
They are intended primarily for libraries, rental shops and media stores. The EM labels that work with them can be permanently embedded in the product or packaging, making them practically invisible and difficult to neutralise, and furthermore, they are suitable for reactivation.
RF gates
They operate on a frequency of 8.2 MHz and are frequently chosen by supermarkets and department stores. Compatible RF self-adhesive labels are among the cheapest available on the market, which is significant when there is a high turnover of goods.
Additional options can be attached to each gate model: LED backlighting, side shielding to increase efficiency at wide entrances, a customer counter, an aluminium bag and magnetic opener detector, and an integrated advertising surface.
